Speaker: Rafael "Rafi" Merle
Rafael is a 10th degree Grandmaster with 48 years of experience in self-defense, criminal awareness, personal safety and martial arts. Rafael has work in the healthcare field for over 39 years in various roles such as: Respiratory Therapist, Pulmonary Function Technologist, Perinatal Pediatric Specialist, Director of CardioPulmonary, Medical Interpreter, Safe Patient Handling Instructor, Instructional Design and Learning
Management Administrator. Rafael has also a Masters degree In Health and Wellness.
At the conclusion of this instructional session, the participant will be able to:
•State the advantages of acquiring self-defense skills
•Define situational awareness
•List hospital strategies for dealing with workplace violence
